EMS – Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001:2015 – 2 Days.  The information presented in this two day course forms the basis for a systematic and integrated approach to environmental management. It also enables participants to gain an understanding of the requirements of all the elements in ISO 14001:2015

The course examines the benefits of implementing an Environmental Management System and the compatibility of Environmental and Quality Management Systems. The program explains the significant features of an Environmental Management System and the terminology and methodology used in the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems Standard. It also:

  • Provides industry with a generic model for the development, implementation and maintenance of an organisation’s Environmental Management System
  • Specifies the minimum requirements for an effective Environmental Management System
  • Enables a company to demonstrate its compliance with regulatory requirements and the company’s stated environmental policy and objectives

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is suitable  for

  • Professionals who are responsible for developing and implementing Environmental Management Systems based on ISO 14001
  • Auditors and lead auditors who are required to conduct internal/external EMS audits

WHAT WILL BE ACHIEVED

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the application of environmental management principles
  • Understand the application of environmental science and technology
  • Understand the application of environmental systems to different operational processes
  • Assess the risk of significant environmental impacts and activities identified in the context of the organisation’s Environmental Management System
  • Assess the effectiveness of methodologies to control environmental hazards
  • Assess the EMS roles and responsibilities within the context of the organisational environment
  • Determine the adequacy and effectiveness of the EMS

PRIOR KNOWLEDGE

  • Prior knowledge on the standard is desirable but not essential to attend this course.
  • You may wish to attend ISO 14001 Awareness course.

GLOBAL RECOGNITION

  • On successful completion of the course assessment, participants will be issued with a ‘Certificate of Attainment’, covering the competencies of Exemplar Global-EM
  • This certificate enables successful candidates to apply to Exemplar Global for certification as a provisional auditor when combined with competencies gained from either Exemplar Global-AU or from both Exemplar Global-AU and Exemplar Global-TL
  • This competency when combined with other competencies of Exemplar Global-AU and TL is recognised by NABET and IEMA (refer Mutual recognition agreements)
  • Those participants who choose not to submit the assessment will be issued with a ‘Certificate of Attendance’
